Three Music Streaming Services To Know About

1. Pandora

Pandora is a veteran site, ascribed as the start of internet radio. On Pandora, the site creates a list of radio stations that play music by artists comparable to the ones you listen to frequently. To make these radio stations more specific, users can tell Pandora which songs it likes, and vice versa. With Pandora, you can upgrade to a premium account, which means you can listen to as much as you want without commercials. However, if you do not pay a subscription fee, note that the site has a weekly limit for users.

2. Spotify

Spotify works in similar ways to Pandora, offering yet another option for streaming music online. The site runs through Facebook, and it allows users to listen to any artist or genre, online and offline. In the free version of Spotify, there are commercials, but users have the option to upgrade to a premium account to skip out on them. The premium account also gives users access to higher quality audio.

3. Grooveshark

Like Pandora, Grooveshark labels itself as online radio, giving customers a service that can be redesigned and has several features, such as the option to skip tracks. Pandora and Grooveshark are direct competitors, with the latter offering the opportunity to replay songs, which Pandora does not have. That said, Pandora has a different and vast library, making it still a viable opponent.
